About Us - [ Who We Are and What We Believe ]

What Are We Fighting For?™ is an association focused on re-Americanizing America. It’s based on the tenets of the founding fathers of this great nation. The founding fathers believed in their actions, and their actions matched their words. We believe each citizen is required to earn and fight for his/her continued freedoms and the privilege of living in the United States of America.

We believe change best occurs with one individual at a time. What Are We Fighting For?™ is a catalyst for change a forum for educating and training individuals in personal leadership. It is a grassroots effort igniting one individual at a time to be a catalyst for change. As a member, you will get insight, guidance, education and training to prepare you for your fight. What are you fighting for?

"Fight For" can mean many things for different people. Examples might be: take a stand for, step up-to-the-plate for, doing the hard thing for, doing the right thing for, doing the unpopular thing for, speak up for, sacrifice for, argue for, draw the line in the sand for, call to duty for.

Citizenship, service and sacrifice are the basis for this association. This is your call to duty! It’s the part you play in earning the freedom that so many have sacrificed their lives to provide for you and your family. Freedom ain’t free! If you don’t fight for what is important to you, don’t expect to keep what is important to you. What are you fighting for?
  • Citizenship: Personal accountability and responsibility. Actively exercising our rights and freedoms. This means voting in all elections, involvement in the process, even if it’s nothing more than being knowledgeable of issues of the day. It’s being proud to be an American, not a hyphenated citizen (what began as a method of demographics has become divisive). Courage is a key component of citizenship, having the back bone to “fight for” something you believe in.
  • Service: A call to action, stepping up to the plate, drawing a line in the stand. We believe that military service is an honorable and necessary part of citizenship, however, not the only part. We must all serve. Police, Fire, EMT, doctors, nurses, teachers, and many others. Service is defined as actively participating to make this country stronger, better and safer.
  • Sacrifice: A willingness to spend yourself, or your resources, in support of what you believe in. Each person that serves and is a citizen must determine what they are going to sacrifice for this country ? for the freedoms and privileges this country provides for us. Freedom ain’t free. This association will call on our members to demonstrate that sacrifice which could be in time, energy, talents, abilities, emotional and financial support.
What our association is Not:
  • Not an activist group promoting anything other than citizenship, service and sacrifice.
  • Not a political group. Quoting a retired 0-6 from Colorado, "I am appalled at what both parties are doing."
  • Not a religious organization. While personally I believe in God, this country was founded on religious freedom and the right of citizens to worship as they see fit – or not.
  • Not a group that will bash our elected leaders. We will discuss facts, not people. I have no problem saying our borders need to be secured; I shall not attack our President.
What our association is:
  • A means of providing guidance and leadership to the grass roots efforts of citizens already engaged in supporting our troops in the field.
  • A means of raising awareness of issues we believe are having a deleterious effect on this country and its citizens.
  • A means to tap into an incredible amount of experience, knowledge and leadership represented by retired members of the military, police, firefighters, EMS, teachers, business leaders, etc., offering them a way to continue to contribute to this great country.
  • A means by which the “great silent majority” that want to help can be more effective and not continue to confuse activity with accomplishment.
  • A means to tell the other side of the news that is not being reported by the major media.
  • A means to tell stories of accomplishment and heroism happening each day by those serving overseas that are not being reported by the major media.
Our focus is:
  • To ignite individuals, NOT on inflaming the public.
  • To discuss facts, NOT slandering or criticizing folks.
  • To live up to a core concept of the country religious freedom, not Judeo-Christian or Islamic exclusion.
  • To honor our service members, police, firefighters, EMS and other First Responders, not letting their service and sacrifice become arenas for political agendas.
  • To encourage enhancement of citizenship, through service and sacrifice to the country, not by ineffectually swallowing the placebo of talk radio and undirected, ineffective, non-productive activities.
  • To honor the humanity of each person while distinguishing between a citizen of this country (Natural or Naturalized) and those individuals seeking our benefits while flaunting our laws.
  • To work peacefully and positively to un-elect representatives that have failed to represent the constituents that elected them and ensuring Freedom of Speech for all.
We Believe:
  • Many will find these messages resonate with them.
  • Vets and military Retirees will find a method to continue service to this country.
  • Civilians will find a positive and productive method to expend their energies and enhance their citizenship and their efforts in the service and sacrifice to their country.
  • There is a great host of untapped, somewhat confused, frustrated citizens waiting to be mobilized and to become citizen soldiers dedicated to re-Americanizing America.
  • That a subject’s controversial nature is resolved through open and intelligent dialog – not rhetoric, not diatribe, not blind obedience something we used to call free speech.
  • The right people in the right places at the right time can and will provide an impetus of unparallel importance and political impact simply by focusing on citizenship, service and sacrifice and by being acknowledged for their efforts.
  • That What Are We Fighting For?™ can be the leading element in this effort.
